Founded in 1956, Nichiha Japan first began operations as a hardboard manufacturer, supplying the automobile industry. Fueled by their superior manufacturing technology and constant drive for innovation, Nichiha Japan developed fiber cement claddings and now offers over eight-hundred different products, textures and colors that are used for both commercial and residential applications.

Beginning in 1998 with the location of our headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia and more recently expanded with the opening of our fiber cement manufacturing facility in Macon, Georgia; Nichiha US is a partnership between Nichiha Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan and America. This union created a US operated company that is poised to fundamentally change the face of the exterior cladding market.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO DEALERS, DISTRIBUTORS, BUILDERS AND HOMEOWNERS REGARDING THE USE OF OUTSIDE PRE-FINISHING VENDORS TO FINISH NICHIPRODUCTS™ (NichiBoard™, NichiPanel™, NichiShake™, Sierra Premium™ Products)

Nichiha has a long tradition of producing quality fiber cement products that are designed to meet the various conditions of climates throughout the United States. A component of our quality process is our Lifetime Limited Warranty which is considered by many the best in the industry. Nichiha’s warranty covers against product and workmanship defects in working with our fiber cement products.

It is important that we point out that a condition of this warranty is under section 2 (A) which clearly states under Warranty Exclusions - This Limited Warranty does not cover any conditions, qualities, damages or events except as expressly set forth in Section 1 above. For example, this Limited Warranty does not cover, and Nichiha will not be liable for, any defect, damage or failure:
A. In or arising from the paint or other coating or finish which are not Nichiha and/or Nichiha affiliated applied to the Product at anytime. These defects, damage or failures include without limitation efflorescence, peeling, blistering and performance of any 3rd party finishes, paints, stains or coatings.

Any interested party who has experienced a problem with the finish and or performance of the paints, stains or other coatings applied by an outside pre-finisher may not look to Nichiha USA, Inc. for warranty coverage. The interested parties should approach the pre-finisher and or the paint or coating manufacturer for resolution to the issue.
